About Myself:

Painting and Fine Arts started as a hobby and then grew as a passion for me. My paintings are touched by the beauty of nature, God's creation, with a subtle touch of mystery. There is a delightful sense of spontaniety, a feel of expressing form and nature with sensitive creativity.

I am a self taught artist with no formal education in Fine Arts. I was inclined towards sketching and painting since childhood. I would take keen interest in learning art through magazines and newspapers. This however is not really sufficient to be become proficient in this field as we learn through trial and error and the exact techniques required to master this are not learnt. With the advancement in technology, we now have other sources like online videos, art schools, books authored by many Indian and foreign authors. I have personally spent a lot of time and money only on books and other art materials to master the exact techniques. I still believe that art books are best mediums to learn and hone the artistic skills for self taught artists. Even today, I invest in loads of books by famous artists. I have constantly been inspired by the works of Milind Mulick, Shivaji Tupe, M. K. Kelkar, John Fernandes, Rahul Deshpande, Angela Gair, Edward Wesson, Ong kim Seng, Richard Schmid, John Yardley and many others alike.

In this series you will see that my present works are a stepping-stone from which I will continue to explore new and unknown terrains with creative freedom.

I am exploring new techniques in art. Water color is one of the toughest mediums to work on. If used appropriately, we can get the most beautiful paintings with natural beauty and transparency. Charcoal is another medium which I love working on. Charcoal helps us capture the exact picture on paper in black and white. My primary focus right now is to work in the field of water colors and improve my skills in the same.
